Privacy Policy

Salute is a service that lets businesses send review requests to their own customers by text message or email. This policy explains what information Salute stores, how it is used, and the choices you have, whether you are a business using Salute or a customer who received a message through it.

Information we store

• Business account information: when a business signs up, we store the details it provides: business name, industry, team size, contact phone and email, logo, and its public Google review link.
• Customer contact information entered by businesses: businesses enter the name, mobile phone number, and (optionally) email address of customers they want to send a review request to. Salute stores this on the business's behalf.
• Message and delivery records: the content of each review request, when it was sent, whether it was delivered, whether its link was clicked, and any opt-out replies.
• Usage information: basic technical logs (such as IP address and device type) generated when the app or our links are used, used for security and troubleshooting.

How messages are sent

Text messages are delivered through a third-party carrier messaging service, and emails through a third-party email delivery service. These providers process the recipient's phone number or email address and the message content in order to deliver it, and return delivery status to us. We share only what is necessary to deliver the message.

How we use information

We use the information above to operate Salute: sending review requests on a business's behalf, tracking delivery and clicks, showing businesses their own dashboard, preventing messages to people who have opted out, and providing support. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use customer contact lists for our own marketing.

Opting out of messages

If you received a text message through Salute and don't want any more, reply STOP at any time. Your number is immediately added to a suppression list and the business cannot send you further messages through Salute, including reminders. Reply HELP for assistance. Emails include an unsubscribe option.

Data deletion

You can ask us to delete your data at any time, whether you are a business closing your account or a message recipient who wants their contact information removed. Email support@salutereviews.com and we will delete the data within 30 days, except records we must keep to honor opt-outs or meet legal obligations.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, stored with access controls, and accessible only to the business that entered it and to Salute for operating the service.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and the date above, and notify businesses in the app.
